A well structured, medium bodied wine, expressing rich dark berry fruits, sweet spice and subtle oak maturation characters.
Vineyard Notes
Coonawarra received good winter rains, which set up the vines well for the growing season. Temperatures during the growing season were warm with minimal heat spikes, the steady temperatures continued through vintage. There was minimal vintage rains, which reduced any pressure of disease.
Production Notes
Select parcels of this wine were matured for an average of 15 month in a combination of older French and American oak barrique and hogshead barrels.
