Colour: Deep red with purple hues.

Nose: A complex array of concentrated fruit and oak maturation notes. Vibrant red forest berries with hints of peppery spice.

Palate: A richly layered palate of red berries, plum and spice, complemented by subtle oak maturation characters and lingering, fine grained tannins.

Food Matching: Barbequed eye fillet of beef, lamb shanks with red wine and rosemary or some aged cheddar cheese

Vintage: 2017 was a return to a more traditional Coonawarra vintage with a cool growing season and long, mild summer. Harvest was later than in recent years; ideal conditions in the lead up produced outstanding Shiraz fruit with deep colour and rich fruit flavours.

Oak Maturation: Selected parcels were maturated for an average of 13 months in American (55%) and French (35%) oak barrels before blending, adding complexity and suppleness.

Cellaring Potential: Will age gracefully for up to 15 years.
